Syncope Clinic

Evaluation of the patient who has experienced a syncopal or near syncopal event can be time consuming and costly. Patients who do not have an obvious etiology for the syncopal event undergo a cardiovascular evaluation to search for potential life-threatening causes for their symptoms.

Holter monitoring, event monitoring and device interrogations are utilized if a rhythm disorder is suspected. Implanting of the internal loop recorders (ILR) may be chosen for long term surveillance. Vascular evaluation as well as head up tilt table testing provide diagnostic information.

CVS will schedule patients within 24 hours and same day results are available.
